Roy Keane on Henry's handball

Good on Roy Keane.
He has no sympathy for Ireland.
Ipswich boss Keane said: "They can complain all they want but France are going to the World Cup - get over it.

"France were there for the taking and Ireland didn't do it. Same old story."
Too right mate, the ref's decision is final. These things happen in football, end of.

Law 5 - the referee is always right! And speaking as a referee, I completely agree.

However, handball, like a lot of things in the beautiful games, is down to interpretation. Only one person's opinion counts - that of the referee. He or she may have missed it, consider it unintentional, or have their attention elsewhere. This is part and parcel of the game.

I agree totally.
Refs get horrible stick as very few fans are interested in balance, they want everything to go their way.
I'm very disapppionted with anyone who's calling for a reply.
The ref's decision is final and that's all there is to it

Roy Keane has just an axe to grind for FAI. The point about the discussion is that the referee's decision is not final on all counts. Appeals do exist. The question is that should a team be able to appeal on the basis of video footage? I belive so.

Keane certainly has an axe to grind, they dared to go against him.
But i'm sticking to my line of the ref's decision being final
