At the end of the day

At the end of the day, George Ozzy Osborne and David Chameleon got it wrong on the big economic call:
"But the fact remains Osborne got the big call of the century wrong. When the crisis hit, Osborne said we shouldn't intervene, whereas Gordon Brown led the world on a Keynesian crusade which has saved us from the abyss. I know who I would prefer in charge of Britain's finances."

I shudder to think what mess we would be in now if the Tories had had the reins of power for the last couple of years.

Their pseudo-Darwinian 'let the market decide' approach is not only heartless, it is reckless.

Of course, Cameron has history on financial fiascos - he was one of the architects of Black Wednesday.

I agree.
We have no idea where we'd be, as i'm sure they have no idea what they'd have done themselves.
Even a staunch Tory like my mum supported intervention.
I'd hope they would have intervened, I hope for all our sakes their opposition is just posturing.

I wouldn't say Cameron was an architect of Black Wednesday as he was only an advisor and the problems ran to the heart of our entry into it, which is Maggie's fault, not Cameleon's.
I personally think drawing attention to their recent response is more valid, and how quickly they went from attacking Gordy for too much intervention to too little.

I don't need Gordy to tell me they have no compassion.
